"Affiliate Funds Servise" - summary

 

The Training meeting "Affiliate Funds Servise" took place in Biłgoraj 19-20 march 2012 in the Federation member's office - Biłgoraj Community Foundation.

 

The training meeting take subject of Affiliate Funds: stages of creation, character, functioning, constituents and functioning rules. Within the confines of the meeting the participants took part in visit in two Affiliate Funds of BC Foundation (School Education Fund and Karate Fund). On the second day Academy for the Development of Philantrophy in Poland presented the presentation about Endowment Funds.

The meeting summary:

1. It is worth to create the Affiliate Funds in the CF (participant's conclusion)

2. During one year presented on the meeting CF will initiate creation 1 new Affiliate Fund in their Community Funds and will create an offer of creation these Funds on their web sides.

3. Endowment Fund is the sum of Endowment Capital and Idea (definition proposed by Paweł Łukasiak and Karolina Jurek – exponent of ARFP)

4. Endowment Fund in Community Fund it is the Affiliate Fund which:

- dispose of the Endowment Capital – min 3000 zł

- additionally enlist each year min 1000 zł for activities

5. “Affiliate Fund” name will be substitute for new unified name “Endowment Fund”

6. The Community Funds will cooperate with ARFP within the confines of portal www.funduszewieczyste.pl and will promote new publishing of ARFP (from 2012) concerning the Endowment  Funds on their websites.

7. Proposition of inscribing to C.F. Standards the formula which tells that “ The Community Fund is the organisation which has minimum 3 Endowment Funds”

The expert leading the meeting was Irena Gadaj (President of BCF), and the guardian of the meeting was Monika Pyda (coordinator of BCF). In the meeting attended 18 exponents of Community Funds in Poland: Agnieszka Czechowska – Skóra and Teresa Wiśniewska (Świętokrzyski Community Foundation), Maria Talarczyk (Sokółka Community Foundation), Lucyna Sobańska and Bogusław Pyzocha (Bieszczady Foundation), Barbara Margol and Anna Włodarczyk (Nidzica Community Foundation), Adriana Rodziewicz and Klaudyna Pieczułajtis (Warmia and Mazuria Community Foundation), Żaneta Marczak (The „Young Together” Community Foundation of the Płock Region), Dorota Komornicka (The Community Fund of Śnieżnik Massif), Mateusz Wiecha (Racibórz Community Foundation), Marcin Rachlewicz (Czajnia Association), Irena Gadaj, Monika Pyda and Natalia Ciosmak (Biłgoraj Community Foundation) and Maciej Mulawa (Federation of Community Foundations). In the meeting attended also two exponents of Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland (Paweł Łukasiak – president, Karolina Jurek).

The training meeting took place within the confines of projekt "Institutional intensification of Federation CF in Poland" funded from Ch. S. Motta Foundation.
